Veteran Tombstone's

I just finished requesting a tombstone for our Pennington great, great great grandfather Jefferson Pennington who served in the Civil War. He died in 1916 in OKC, OK and hasn't had a tombstone all this time.

I have requested a military stone from Veteran's Affairs with the proper documents (CW Pension documents) proving his Union CW service record.

The only cost will be $35 for the cemetery in OKC to receive and set the stone at his grave site. I mailed all the paperwork yesterday. I thought this was very reasonable and now going to look at all our other direct ancestors to make sure they have military stone or plaque's in place at their grave site.
